Well, what if we have not yet time to see the doctor and we would like to know now if we get one. What exactly a yeast infection looks like?        Of course, doctor can tell you for sure if you get a yeast infection by laboratory examination. He or she will swab the infection area and look in a microscope. We can not do that unless we are a doctor ourselves. We, however, can tell by the feel, look and smell if we have a yeast infection. If your symptoms do not match the following list, you may have just confused other diseases with. If not really sure, go to see the doctor will be the best option.

       1. The Feeling An intense itching, burning sensation. This normally happens in your vagina and vulva. The itching is not always present, but can get really bad. Sometime it is so bad that you can hardly walk.
       2. The Looks There will be clumpy and nasty white stuff. Most medical related people compare the discharge to ricotta cheese. But it can range from thick and not clumpy to faintly yellow to thin and clear.
       3. The Smells It will smell like bread or beer. It, in fact, smell very much like cooking yeast. Although the yeast used in brewing or baking is an entirely different breed, no other bacteria can smell just like that. Using its smell is therefore one of the best way to make diagnostic if you get a yeast infection.
       4. No interference with your menstrual period Yeast infection does not affect your period. It therefore will not cause you to miss your period.

Yeast infection can be a painful problem in many women. Many people want to know what a yeast infection looks like and see if they have got one. This article reveals some of the basic symptoms and how to identify if you have got a yeast infection.
